What to Wear on Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving right around the corner we decided to pull together some ideas for those who are not sure what to wear for their gathering. Whether you live on the West Coast or East Coast (or somewhere in between), these fashion trends can apply to you this Holiday.

Color Palette

We recommend sticking to warm, seasonal colors. We love the palette put together by the Patone Fashion Color Report for the 2016 Fall color trends. The colors range from blues, reds, yellows and pinks to create a calming and brisk feel. These tones are earthy yet have a touch of a vibrant splash and are perfect for this time of year.

Clothing Styles

The style of clothing you wear might vary depending on the weather. For those in a colder environment, stick to leggings, jeans, and sweaters. If you happen to live in San Diego like us, you can get away with rocking a dress with long sleeves or a sweater to layer. Flannel and knitted material are the perfect texture to create that “warm and cozy” appeal. Throw on a pair of your favorite boots and you’ll be set for any Thanksgiving photo.

Outfit Accessories

We all know our accessories can make or break an outfit. One of our favorite ways to pull together a fall-like style is throwing on a scarf. Whether it’s a solid color from the palette, or patterned and blending all of the colors together, you can’t go wrong. Don’t forget those leg warmers, either! They create an adorable texture and are perfect for those who live in a little more of a frigid state.

Tis’ the season for looking cute and trendy! Along with these tips (and of course a pumpkin pie in hand), you are ready for your feast. All of us here at Kini Bands hope you enjoy your day and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
